He spent many an hour on his hands and knees scrubbing the sanctuary floor and praying.<BR/><BR/>One day, while "on his knees", Cardinal John Dearden entered the church and asked my dad, "Where's the boss?" My dad, an ex-Marine, not knowing who this "priest" was who was speaking replied "You're speaking to him."<BR/><BR/>About an hour later, the pastor came into the church and found his cardinal archbishop engaged in a lively conversation with my dad.<BR/><BR/>To his dying day, the Cardinal sent my father a Christmas card with an inscription, "to the boss".<BR/><BR/>Again, thanks for the picture.
