How splendid, Father... and no doubt the fur serves a very practical purpose in these colder days.
On a very cold day, with the Cathedral heating none too efficient, we were very glad of them!

What is the College of Cathedral Chaplains - is it the same as the Chapter?
Info please!
How lovely... Fur does suit...
The College of Cathedral Chaplains was established by Cardinal Vaughan in 1904; it is not the same as the Chapter - the Canons of Westminster Diocese (who form the Chapter, under their Provost) are senior priests who are in charge of parishes throughout the Diocese. The Chaplains, resident at the Cathedral, perform their Cathedral duties for them, both liturgical and pastoral.
