O Light Invincible

The morning sun streaming into the Cathedral, viewed from a gallery overlooking the apse. There can never be any 'stained glass' in a Byzantine Cathedral, as there can be in gothic buildings. For the Byzantines, pure light represents the Holy Spirit, flooding into the building and bathing worshippers in its presence.

Beautiful!

Can you post more about the Byzantine nature of the Cathedral?

Total immersion would be wonderful in that setting! A Holy Nation the Lent booklet of the diocese focuses on Baptism and has mcuh to say about the sacrament and how it unites us.
